Deadline for Filing for Candidacy:
The deadline to file an application for a place on the May 4, 2024 General Election Ballot is Friday, February 16, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. The first day that such application may be filed is Wednesday, January 17, 2024. The last day to file a Declaration of Write-In Candidacy is Tuesday, February 20, 2024.

El último día para presentar la solicitud de un lugar en la boleta de votación de la Elección General del 4 de mayo de 2024 es el viernes 16 de febrero de 2024 a las 5:00 p.m. El primer día en que se puede presentar dicha solicitud es el miércoles 17 de enero de 2024. To be eligible to be a candidate for the office of Commissioner, a person must:
1. Be at least 18 years old; and
2. Reside in the District.
